Retail Sales Soar Above Pre-Covid Figures
Published this week, our retail sales study for US golf equipment shows that total sales improved during November vs. the same month a year ago for the third time in the last four months.

Summary
During November 2023, sales of golf equipment were up +4.7%, but down less than -1% for the full year.
During the month, six of the nine equipment categories saw sales increase for the month of November 2023 vs. the same month in 2022.
Impressively, when compared to 2019, (the last pre-pandemic ‘normal’ year), sales for November were up almost 53% and over 39% YTD
On the latest figures, GDT co-founder John Krzynowek said, “Golf equipment sales continue to be very resilient with demand for Putters (+19%) and Balls (+15%) soaring for the month, while Distance Devices (-10%) were the only category down significantly.
“Consumables continue to lead the way as the weather was better than normal nationally for the month of November, and golfers were out on the links during a period of time when rounds typically would slow down.”
