Apparel Category Thrives in December

The Golf Datatech Retail Market Share Reports covering US sales through the month of December and total 2022 for Outerwear, Shirts Men, Shirts Women, Tops Men, Tops Women are now available.

We are pleased to see that golf Apparel sales in the US continued to grow in December and for the full year of 2022. Sales were up 8.1% in dollars during December ’22 and 6.1% for the full year.

US December 2022 Retail Total Market (On-Off Course)

On-Off Course December ’22 vs ’21: Dollars +8.1%
On-Off Course December ’22 vs ’19: Dollars +44.7%

On-Off Course YTD ’22 vs ’21: Dollars +6.1%
On-Off Course YTD ’22 vs ’19: Dollars +49.5%

While golf apparel was a little slower to bounce back after pandemic related closures in 2020, the category has maintained decent momentum and continues to thrive even though rounds played and equipment have slowed recently.
