Positive Results in October Rounds Played

The latest Golf Datatech National Rounds Played report, with results for October 2024, was released this week. It contains year-over-year results for eight regions, all U.S. states, and several metropolitan areas. 

October was another good month for rounds played. U.S. rounds were up 11.5% for the month and up 2.6% year to date compared to October 2023.

Unseasonably dry and warm weather in much of the North and Central regions meant rounds played numbers were considerably higher than we may have expected. All but one region increased over 2023. Only the South Atlantic, which was hammered by storms, declined considerably.

Year-to-date data shows a similar position. The number of rounds played grew in seven out of eight regions.
