Weather Dictates End of Season Golf

The latest Golf Datatech National Rounds Played Report with results for September 2023 is published this week. Golf rounds in the United States were up +1.6% for September 2023 and +3.8% year to date (YTD) when compared to September 2022.

Thus far, 2023 has witnessed a solid bounce-back following a 3% drop in rounds during 2022.

As we so often see, the weather across the country had the biggest impact on golf rounds during September. After struggling for most of 2023, the Pacific and Mountain regions spiked higher in September, spurred on by much improved weather.  On the flip side the Mid Atlantic and New England suffered thru multiple rainy weekends which negatively impacted demand for tee times.
